CONDUCT AND DISCIPLINE INSIDE THE SCHOOL PREMISES

  • Every student must have a copy of the school diary and the same must be brought to school daily
  • Pupils must not speak in any language except English throughout in the school premises
  • Any damage done to the school property must be amended by the parents/guardians of the student concerned
  • Students are not permitted to wear jewellery, mehendi, cosmetics carry expensive objects (e.g. video tapes, calculators, glossy magazines, mobile phones, etc.) or eccentric haircuts. Two wheelers are also prohibited to be brought to school

Attitude to the teachers

  1. a)Respect every teacher whether of your own class or not. Be grateful towards those who taught you in the past.
  2. b) As a mark of courtesy you shall greet your friends, classmates and the members of the staff at their first meeting of the day.
  3. c)Always rise when your teachers enter the class and again when they leave. If they delay in coming do not make any noise, but wait for them in your places in silence reviewing your lesson.
  4. d)During class avoid any talking or distracting behavior when the teacher is teaching.
  5. e)Wish all members of the Staff when you see them at any place out of school.

Attitude to School–Mates

  1. a)Strive to edify your school–mates by your good example at all times. Greet your friends and classmates. In fact no sermon is more efficacious than good example.
  2. b)Never make fun of those who are backward in their studies or anyone with a physical defect. What you laugh at or despise in others may someday befall you.
  3. c)Gladly help one another and let there be no selfishness.

Behavior at School

  1. a)Speak well of all, think well of all, do good to all.
  2. b)Always speak well of your school and of your teachers.
  3. c)While attending the school or public functions students shall conduct themselves in such way as to bring credit to themselves and to the institution.
  4. d)Students shall promptly stand to a solemn attention when the National Anthem is being played/ sung at any meeting or function.
  5. e)While leaving the classrooms do not push or shove one another. Go out in an orderly manner.

 FOOD:

  1. a)Parents are requested to give their children the kind of tiffin that she/ he would be able to eat without messing and wasting.
  2. b)Students are strictly forbidden to buy eatables from street vendors.
  3. c)Smoking, drinking, chewing pan, betel nut or tobacco by students is strictly forbidden.
  4. d)Parents are not allowed to send any food to the school for the class in which their child is studying on the occasion of his/her birthday.

 

EXAMINATION:

There are 4 examinations during the years as follows:

1st Unit test – 17th June 19 – 22nd June 19

Half Yearly – 9th Sep 19 – 20th Sep 19

2nd Unit test – 25th Nov 19 – 30th Nov 19

Annual Examination – 24th Feb 20 – 6th March 20

Any unethical practice during the examination will be strictly condemned and punished no appeal will be entertained. The student can be rusticated.

PROGRESS & PROMOTION:

An even policy will be observed by the management regarding promotion of the children to the next class depending on average marks obtained during the current academic year. Further details are provided in the school dairy.

  • A report on the performance of a student during the term is communicated to parent/guardian at the end of each Unit Test, Terminal examinations
  • Promotions are considered on the basis of the results of all examination. Students must secure at least 40% marks in all the subjects in order to be considered for promotion to the next higher class at the end of the annual examination. No mid – term promotions are granted.
  • A failed student can be retained in the same class or advised ‘Change of School’. Any student failing twice in the same class will not be allowed to continue in the school

THE PRINCIPAL HAS THE FOLLOWING RIGHTS TO MEET THE DEMAND OF THE UNFORESEEN SITUATIONS:

1) Declare holidays to the school.

2) Promote or detain students.

3) Demand withdrawal of any pupil who frequently breaks school rules or whose conduct is injurious to the moral tone of the school in any manner.

4) Take disciplinary action, whenever required to ensure smooth functioning of the school.

5) Change the existing rules.

Note: The management reserves the right to modify or change the rules and regulations as and when required. The Management’s decision will be final.

SCHOOL LIBRARY:

The school library is equipped with a good amount of collections of interesting books to create interest of the students to build reading habits. We encourage the students in this aspect as wider world can be introduced to the students. There are certain rules for the library which should be followed by the students.

RECOMMENDATION TO THE PARENTS:

The active support and co-operation of parents in all cases are considered to be indispensable to the success of the child.

Parents/Guardians are requested to co-operate with the school authorities in the following manner.

 

  1. a)By ensuring regularity and completion of homework.
  2. b)By sending their children to school on time daily, with proper clean uniforms.
  3. c)By developing habits to maintain neatness and cleanliness in all respects.
  4. d)It sometime happens that children complain to their parents concerning school matters. Parents are requested to inform the principal of such matters and to withhold their judgment until proper investigation in made. A little care in such things often prevents unhappy consequences.
  5. e)Criticizing the school and its teachers could undermine your child’s respect and love for teachers and the school. Should you have a legitimate complaint, please meet the Principal.
  6. f)Irregular or insufficient attendance may prevent promotion – a minimum attendance of 80% is required in both academic and SUPW classes.
  7. g)The School does not accept any responsibility for pupils left on the school premises after 2:30 p.m.
  8. h)Parents/Guardians must see that their ward in lower classes are taken back home immediately after the classes are over.
  9. i)Parents/ Guardians should carry the Escort Card whenever they come to collect their ward from school. This is compulsory for students of classes Lowery Nursery to II, for their security.
  10. j)Parents and guardians may not normally meet the teachers or see their children during school hours, but in case of an absolute necessity they may do so with the consent of the Principal.
  11. k)In case your child is unwell and not fit to come for the class tests/ revision tests, please send a leave note with a Medical Certificate for follow up within 2 days of rejoining. Under no circumstances will the child be permitted to go home after the class tests/ revision tests.
  12. l)Parents are strongly recommended to give a packed lunch every day to the children. Buying food outside is discouraged.
  13. m)No cold drinks bottles or plastic bottles are allowed to be used as water bottles in the school.
  14. n)Students from Classes III upwards are not allowed to wear colored clothes on birthdays
  15. o)You are also requested to be vigilant and keep a check on the kind of literature, CD/DVD, website being read and viewed by your ward.
  16. p) Parents/Guardians threatening the school by various methods by leveling malicious or false allegations or spreading rumors or giving false information which tends to bring into disrepute the school or its employees or spreading panic among them, might result in issuing a Transfer Certificate to their ward from the school.
  17. q)Admittance into the school premises is at the sole discretion of the school authorities, who reserve to themselves the right to refuse admission to anyone without assigning any reason whatsoever.
  18. r)Though the school takes care of your ward while in school, the school cannot be held responsible for any self inflicted or accidental mishap/injury physical or otherwise, that may befall your ward.
  19. s)Exemplary behavior is expected in the school campus.
  20. t)All communication to the school should be directed through the Principal. Telephonic conversation with teachers during school hours is NOT ALLOWED.
  21. u)If any child has a problem with another child in the school the concerned Parent should bring the matter to the notice of the Principal or Vice-principal. One Parent should not confront another because of differences between their children.
  22. v)Parents should respond to any call given by the school related to their child. If the parents do not abide by the rules and regulations then they will be asked to withdraw the child.

 

WITHDRAWAL RULES:

  • Before withdrawing a student from the school one month’s notice is to be given or one month’s fees is lieu thereof.
  • Parents/guardians will be asked to withdraw their ward/wards in case he/she fails twice in a class.
  • If the conduct, behavior or influence of a student is found detrimental and subversive of good behavior/discipline/interest of the school, the Rector may order his/her withdrawal
  • If a student is found medically unfit and / or is a health hazard to the other students, he/she may be asked to be withdrawn.
  • The Transfer Certificate will be issued after 10 days from the date of receipt of the withdrawal application duly signed by the parents/guardians along with T.C. fee and on clearance of all dues
